What is a manipulative cube?

Wooden manipulative boards are becoming increasingly popular among educational toys for children.

Seemingly an expensive invention of a new fashion, it turns out to be a great toy to activate and motivate children to do things on their own. The large number of diverse elements ensures the child’s development on many levels. With textures, colors and shapes, it experiences through sight, touch and also hearing. All of this provides him with excellent psychomotor training through highly engaging play.

Well, okay, but the boards are usually large and heavy-designed to be hung on the wall, or placed on a special stand. It’s great for safe play, but at home!

What if we took the best out of the board and put it on a small wooden cube that would fit perfectly into little hands? We could then take such a handling board with us!

Small manipulative cube

A manipulative cube – the mobile equivalent of a manipulative board.

The realization of such an idea resulted in the creation of a handling cube.

Thanks to its size, it will be perfect as a toy for the car or stroller, or anywhere you want to occupy your child with something creative.

The manipulative cube was created with the youngest explorers in mind. Simple, timeless, creative and, above all, small, so it will provide great fun wherever a child experiences boredom or impatience.

The possibilities of playing with latches, switches or real fasteners make the child feel like he or she is getting something that was previously reserved only for adults. This curiosity and excitement are vital to the learning process, which in this case takes the form of innovative play.

What skills does the manipulative cube develop?

Playing with an educational cube is an excellent form of exercising small motor skills, tweezers grasp, hand-eye coordination, as well as perceptiveness and concentration. The manipulative cube, also sometimes called a sensory cube, does not force anything on toddlers. Children can play with it in their own way, based on their developmental level.
